After endless exposure to the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, it is time to focus on races for other elections. I want to draw attention to the candidates for Illinois 8th Congressional district: the incumbent, Raja Krishnamoorthi, a Democrat, and his Republican challenger, Mark Rice.

Mark Rice is a successful executive with experience in the energy field, and knowledge of finance and the economy. He has expressed concern about the state and direction of our national affairs and is willing to put his business interests aside to serve in government and help steer the nation to a better place.

Rep. Krishnamoorthi is talented and earnest, but just another very liberal, big government, career politician who has contributed to the mess in Washington.

Nate Sliver's FiveThirtyEight legislative analysis group reported Rep. Krishnamoorthi voted to support the Biden/Harris agenda in Congress 100% of the time. That is robotic and not the work of a person with an open mind, or of one thinking about opposite views held by his constituents. He tends to being consistently anti-business (which is largely responsible for delivering a great standard of living to Americans), and just recently mailed out a broadside supporting no-holds-bared abortions.

By action or inaction, he bears the responsibility for inflation, including soaring interest rates and prices for food, gas, rent; stifled wages; increased Chicago area crime; billions of tax dollars spent upon unvetted immigrants; a government with a $36 trillion balance on its Visa Card; and dangerous mismanagement of foreign affairs.

Mark Rice has outlined a series of common-sense legislation priorities that address todays and future problems. He is a sincere, thoughtful, patriotic person who - irrespective of whoever is elected president - will work hard in Congress to address matters that should concern you. I suggest voting for him as our next representative.
